Recent visit to LLMD for my stubborn Bart!

So been off the forum for almost 2 weeks cause I was in Scotland for vacation. The only way I survived it was I reduced my Rifampin/Doxy cause my heart pounding was out of control. Well I saw my LLMD on Monday and I have to ramp back up. An interesting visit wanted to share some things.

LLMD said Rifampin/Doxy works the best he's seen with his many patients with Bart so I need to get back on that combination at full dose. Right now I'm on 1 Rifampin in AM. Going back to 2 in AM and ramping up Doxy starting 50mg at night, then same AM all the way to 100mg AM and PM in 2 weeks.

He's 'attacking' my chest/head issues in 2 ways. Anti-inflammatory and normalize immune function. He prescribed 2 tinctures called Azinat and Cardrak for immune function and heart health. Anyone ever heard of them?

Also told him I have the Buhner Bartonella herbs and a few others and he only wants me to use Cats Claw, Hawthorne and Cordyceps 2x a day.

The last thing he wants me to try is low dose naltrexone. I'm to take 1.5mg first week before bed then go to 3mg. I'm a little scared of the naltrexone as I heard you can get bad insomia and/or vivid dreams. My sleep is decent right now so afraid of further messing something up but I think its worth a shot since I haven't used it before. Thoughts from the board on LDN? Thanks.

Rikky - Two Rifampin in the morning - meaning 600 mg ...or 300 mg total? (mine are 300 mg capsules)
and you just take it once daily?

Sorry, I haven't heard of those two tinctures.


I tried LDN before my diagnosis - to help with pain..and it didn't work for me...I started at 1.5, then 3.0 and then 4.5. I maybe should have stuck it out...but at the same time I tried it, I started to have pain at night when I slept...waking me up.

There are members who have had good success with it, though, so I'm most likely an 'oddity'.

Girlie i'm taking 2 300mg capsules so 600mg in morning on empty stomach. I tried spacing it out to 1xAM and 1xPM didn't seem to make much of a difference in terms of symptoms/effectiveness.
