This a "laugh to keep from crying" type of post. I mean sometimes you just have to laugh it off but only others with lyme will understand/get the humor.
So brain fogginess and loss of concentration is a symptom that has crept back up more recently for me.
As I was helping a coworker work through something (math calculations of all the things that need optimal brain power), I kept getting lost in helping him through it. It was starting to get obvious as he was pointing out "no remember we are doing X not Y". And all I could do is the "oh yea yea, sure, so you do this....".
Deep in the middle of it, as I tried harder I kept feeling dumber, I couldn't break through the concentration fog. So I had to play it off and excuse myself to my desk saying "oh ok well let me take a look at my computer and get back to you". This allowed me break through the fog, since the pressure was off and I wasn't on the spot anymore.
Eventually figured it out and got back to him.
But boy in the middle of it I just felt "dumb" and the harder I tried (with the pressure and stress of trying harder) the dumber my brain kept getting.
Anyone care to share their lyme "dumb" moments? Keep it light.
