We found out that my wife has the very high stomach acid, normal high is 1.5-2.0ph ph, hers was 1.1ph which was causing her indigestion as the stomach won't empty if acidity is that high. Using right bitters after meal made the whole difference. We use Underberg bitters. For somebody with low stomach acid you need to use bitters before meal as that will get the whole digestion going. You should look into a product called Swedish bitters and you should take it 15 minutes before meal. Also eat more olives, salt your food liberally if you don't have problems with kidneys or high blood pressure. Also use raw apple cider vinegar and don't drink a lot of liquid with meals as that will further decrease stomach acid. Eat your meals warm and no cold drinks with meals as that will cause indigestion. Digestive enzymes can help a lot but they need to be used at the end of the meal.
