My Neurologist is just amazing ( I HAVE A QUESTION)

Question my friends. So i just came back from my neurologist consultation. I'm here in Brazil going back to America on Thursday to maybe do more tests including the Igenex and to wait for my muscle biopsy result that was performed yesterday. I came down here to speed up my exams process because back home my neurologist was slower than a turtle. I brought up the Lyme idea to my neurologist down here in Brazil She said it can be lyme why not check for it again even having 2 negatives tests because all my symptoms do not match to most diseases unless i have some rare condition in my cells or dna"I HOPE NOT" so i prefer having Lyme ( PAIN AND WEAKNESS IN THE CALVES, BURNING SKIN, BLURRY EYES, SHAKING A LOT, TINGLING, PAIN ALL OVER, NUMB FACE, SHOULDER PAIN...ETC). She said go and get the Igenex done and let's hope that we can catch it. The only thing that she finds a little confusing is that i don't have a certain protein in my blood that would show some kind of infection I'm not sure what she meant by it. Do you guys know if it's possible to have Lyme with a perfect blood work? NO alteration at all from corner to corner? By the way She got me a free muscle biopsy in the best hospital university in Sao Paulo City so one of the best on in the world for free.... because I told her that i spent all my money with my problem and down here i was paying out of pocket... and after every consultation that takes a full hour She hugs me and tells me that everything will be ok. Not mentioning that She gave me her what's app so I can ask her questions if i have any and also she checks on me all the time. She is amazing and makes me think that doctors still truly care for their patients.

I didn't take the Igenex yet. I ordered the kit so as i get home i can take it. My to Elise one came back negative.

Hi Robby, It is great that you found a doctor that you feel comfortable with and that genuinely cares. These are rare.

As to your question, your immune system protects the body from harmful substances (infections) by recognizing and responding to antigens. Antigens are substances (usually proteins) on the surface of cells, viruses, fungi, or bacteria.

Your doctor was surprised to not find these proteins which would indicate that your immune system is actively fighting an infection. The Igenix tests will look for other infection indicators that will most likely show which infection you have. Keep in mind that "Lyme" is almost usually multiple infections so make sure to look for the co-infections when contacting igenix.

My initial bloodwork was all perfect (cbc, ana, crp, esr, lyme elisa, and more). Once I saw a lyme savy doc though it seemed everything started coming up bad - IGeneX test, cd57, viruses, mycoplasma, adrenals, parasites, metals, thyroid, etc. Regular docs just don't dig deep enough to find the root cause.

My blood work prior to treatment was good except for low vitamin d and high total cortisol.

A couple of months later, those were corrected.

OK the C-reactive protein (CRP elevation) is what she was talking about. Do guys had this protein in the normal range in the even having Lyme?

Our course there is no way to diagnose you from just hearing your symptoms, but I would be looking very hard at copper level abnormalities. Your neurological symptoms have an origin and that often leads to copper level issues. You have to put the puzzle back together one piece at the time.

Have you by chance eaten a lot of sushi in the past?

A Perkinsus-like infection may cause the symptoms you describe. I say Perkinsus-like because it's genome appears to be somewhere between Perkinsus and Apicomplexan Protists. I consider it a protozoal infection even though they are genetically closer to a dinoflagellate. Much more study must be done to even identify organisms like that and determine their rate of human infection. I'd try liposomal lactoferrin and monitor results. Most likely it won't be curative, but positive gains may be made. Talk to a knowledgeable physician about it.
