I may have asked this before, forgive me if I have. I have lost weight, from 176-142 in a 6 month period. I chalk it up to not being as mobile as I once was. I am now back to 155.

But I have a question. I remember reading once, and it may have had to do with smokers but im not sure. The statement I read went something like this...women lose muscle on their core area, and men tend to lose muscle on the hind end and hamstrings. I cant remember where I read this, but it hit home for me in that, my legs lost muscle. Not that they were big to begin with, but I notice my hamstrings are almost non existent. It somewhat changed my gait. My hips tend to be in a more forward position, if you can picture that. Does anyone remember where I might have read this? Thanks.

I hadn't read that...sorry.

But, I lost weight, too. Mine was in the first several weeks of lyme symptoms - from 138 to 124 lbs.
That was in April, 2013. - I lost the 14 lbs by beginning of June.
No more weight loss after that...but was eating as much as possible to try to hold that weight. I had a lot of undigested food 'coming out' the other end.

A year later, I was 126 lbs.
I started treatment and am now up to 136 and holding.

Hey trader.

I loss weight, specifically muscle weight as well. As a guy I can co-sign on the fact I lost most of the weight/muscle from my knees to my waist.

I lost weight all around of course but my torso still has some meat on it's bone and even actual fat. But my hips, legs and hamstring, super slim.

When I lay on my side the hip bone protrudes.

So I would agree with the lyme "muscle wasting" for guys it's the lower body.

I lost 8-10 lbs at the very beginning of lyme and then lost another 10 lbs after going on the candida diet (Dealing with candida).

Like Girlie, I'm doing everything to not go lower. I eat 2-3 avacados a day with my meals, and coconut oil (straight up).

At 5'7 I use to be 140-145 (which is little on the doughy side). I'm at 127 now, which is probably where I "should" be, however I hate the fact I'm only 127 for not so great reasons.

Interesting about weight. I'm only 5' 4 1/2 inches tall.

But, when I was down to 124 lbs...i was super skinny. And at 136 there isn't a lot of fat. I'm not big-boned. Someone told me it was because of muscle.

At 136 people would call me skinny. Then I would say 'guess how much I weigh" And they would say 115/120 and would not believe me when I told them I was 136 lbs.


I take size 28 waist jeans.

Thanks all. Ya, im 5'7 also. At 176 I was pretty thick. No fat. At 142 I felt way too thin. Now that im back up a little, Im still broad across the shoulders but legs are thin. I used to have huge(for my size) back muscles, but theyre gone. Mainly though, legs are the weakest. I really wish I could remember where I read that, because I remember it having some other gender specific info also. Good to know im not alone though.

I'm 5'10". 24 years old. I weigh 130 lbs. I'm a twig. People think I'm anorexic. I'm shocked when people actually guess my age right, because the majority still make the "how's high school" sort of comments, and others wonder if I am the working age. I was anorexic in my early teens though, so I'd "naturally" be on the smaller side anyway.

Still, nowhere near as skinny as I am. Part of it is likely the infections, and the other part is just how they've affected by diet these past few years. I feel I was slowly starving away for months - years.

Now, I'm on a ketogenic diet (high fat, high protein). I know it's said that this is bad for parasites, biofilms, ammonia, in regards to all the protein, and a few other things. I keep track of my intake. Some days, I eat too much. I've had like 2,600 calories these past few days. Love the coconut oil with my meats and stuff.

Yes, weight is what I want, but I want it to be more muscle than fat, so I am kind of trying to keep the gain minimal until I feel I am in a good enough place to start working out. I already have some basic weightlifting stuff in anticipation.

It'll be nice to at least LOOK normal (decent weight, muscle), if not feel normal as well. Working on both though.

Anyway.. sucks, yeah..

But try.

Yes muscle wasting here on legs and hands...arms chest back...i wonder if this babs bart or borrielia. Actually my reasearch is pointing to a bart /myco inrection myco has hiv qualities ..maybe try clindamycin as it its two types. ..if i could stop or reverse it i would be oh so happy...starting iv tomarrow .will keep ya posted
