I just received my Igx kit test ( hoping it's Lyme)

I will be collection on Monday my blood so I'm very excited for it. My health is getting worse by the day. Super pain full calves, burning skin sensation, stabbing pain in my fore arms, sometimes i have a tiring feeling in my thighs with burning muscle sensation, and i have been shaking a lot, left side of the face tingles a lot and Just a overall sick/ weird feeling and my tongue gets strange too kind of tingles now once in a while. Do you guys think that maybe it's Lyme? Like I said before so far my blood work and all the other tests that i have done are perfect but I think that I do not match with other people's symptoms in here. If I don't have Lyme I'm in real trouble!!!

robby the test will tell a lot and even if it doesn't you symptoms do tell a story.

Have you taken this test?

I did Peteza. I have so many symptoms from this test but what really scares me is that I have other ones that I don't see there, and the pain that I have in my calves don't migrate stays always there.

Are you less active because you have lyme?

When I first got lyme I became a couch potato and my calves hurt a lot because I had been so lethargic.

I don't have the fatigue but for sure I'm not the person that I used to be everything hurts and I feel just weird all the time. Other day i had something very weird I could not find words to talk and my mind was just not focusing at all but it just happened once. The pain in the calf is deep in the muscle... 24/7.

I had a spot on the side of my leg that felt like a bone bruise but it was on the inside of my leg and it was a huge spot. It went away but I don't know what I did for it to go away.

Lyme just out right sucks and we have to be careful it doesn't suck the life out of us.

When I am in doubt I always grab the ice pack and see if that helps.

Robby - I always have more symptoms than are listed on questionnaires and lists you see on Lyme sites.

Keep in mind that Lyme can affect any system...or part of the body.

I would feel self conscious reporting my symptoms to all the Dr.s I saw..and would leave half of them out..I was certain they'd think I had a psychiatric condition. As I walked out of the office, I imagined them twirling their finger at the side of their head - "cuckoo"

Robby, I think a lot of the time the symptoms come on so gradually that you don't even realize how sick you have become until it reaches a point that you can no longer go on in the state you are in. I have had symptoms that have gotten worse and worse over the last 5 years. But when I think back on it I was sick before that. I just didn't think much about it at the time. I have lost the normal use of one leg but that started so gradually that I thought it was just from being on my feet so much. Then gradually it got to the point that I could not walk flat footed. Only on my toes. Lyme is just wierd in how it affects people.

Many of the things you have mentioned, I have experienced as have many others. But Lyme is never the same in everybody. You could very well have symptoms that others don't have. I am glad you are getting tested and hopefully through Igenix?

The Igenex is a lab in California...You can call them and order a test kit. LLMD's usually have a supply of them in their office.

There are many tests - lyme and co-infections.

The kit doesn't cost anything. You pick the tests you want...and pay for them.

The Lyme Western Blot Igm and IgG (if money is tight...or you just don't want to spend a lot on testing - this is the one to get) - $210.
You need a Dr. to sign the lab req...and get a blood draw. This should be done on Monday or Tuesday so that the samples aren't sitting somewhere over the week-end when Igenex is closed.

It can be any Dr. - PCP, specialist, ND, chiropractor...who signs the lab req.

My tongue tingles too....and the left side of my head...used to be the back of my head.

The Lyme panel that I'm doing is $275. Have to get my GP to sign it for me and get my blood drown in the lab, and send it out....didn't go over all the details yet but will read tomorrow the directions. What are your symptoms? Mine tongue thing started with a burning sensation and now it's this tingling weird "metallic" feeling that I can't explain.... have the tingling in my head sometimes, and very often the left side of my face tingles a lot very weird too.... but those are my easy symptoms.

Just sent my Igenex test out today, and my GP ordered West blot for me just in case. Crossing my fingers here.....
