"muscles will start to shudder"
- Shudder or shake, pick your word.
Well, I'm proof that many combined possibilities can make this happen. One persons cause, might not be the same for someone else. I was at the worse point of this when presumably, my toxic load was at its peak, from ABX and Candida. In my case, Hashimoto plays a role in this too with some people.
I had to have help with a RX thats also used for tremors, or be unemployable. It did help a lot at my worse times, but obviously partially masked the cause. I guess some Hashi people use this forever too. It still helps, tried going off it.
But , aside from the above RX that has not changed dose, my muscle issues have gotten better very slowly. Since I was this way so long, I'm looking at long term rebuilding and regaining range of motion. You know, if you pick up the nails from your street, you still have to fix the flat tires your left with, they wont necessarily fix themselves just because the nails are gone.
The shaking is the result of muscle weakness with tightness, from many possibilities of chemical imbalance. While this is going on the tight muscles restrict flow and this can be an evil circle hard to get out of.
So you have to find the imbalance, which can be many things in addition to GH's info. Remember, it can be genetics too, in combo with what these bugs do to your chemical balance. I dont detox well per genetics, I'm certainly not the only one with this issue. Half of herxing is probably methalation issues in certain individuals. I herxed five months,.... not normal.
So in my opinion its not as easy as saying "oh this is it, just this right here". I tried many specialty diets that change or limit body chemistry/flora with the help of a genetics Dr. The only diets that made a difference in me were anti candida diets while Candida was obvious - helped but does eliminate muscle issues in my case. Candida does make changes that can effect mitochondria, two Drs explained/showed this to me.
PC powder is very similar to the D-limonine gall caps from Jarrow I write about, $10 for 60 from VitaCost. GH can tell you the difference between the two. There are times when D-limone makes a difference in my gut, does not have an immediate impact on muscles though that I can feel.
***So with me, less toxic load makes me feel better. I have no other explanation. Been off ABX and Diflucan RX for 15 months. I'm not on any special diet at all, since I felt no better on them. I just eat a balanced diet and always have veggies before protein. And only have fruit before a meal, or in between, so it digests properly (fast) and wont ferment.
Magnessium Glycinate has always been the best untill some new one was available, I forget what it was. . Limited brands though, KAL is a good one.
AND, I will never stop mentioning physical maintenance and repair, with or without exercise. Triggerpoint release and myofacial release do what massage CAN NOT do. This also offers IMMEDIATE releafe to muscle tension by immediately increasing circulation, lessening shakes.
Anyone with muscles issues should learn these practices from books or you-tube, as you can do this yourself to some extent. It increases circulation in problem areas, and "un-sticks" muscles. New nutrient will flow in, and restore tissues. Regular massage does feel good, but has limited lasting effects, its not deep enough and pressure is too light for any repairs. Somewhat helpful for maintenance though.
***How I feel today in "recovery mode" today(remember post 15 months ABX): I shake way less. I sleep better. I'm less likely to hurt muscles now (still carefull). Still recovering/fixing muscle/tendons - takes a long time. Muscles getting stronger, but at a slower rate than is normal. Still looking at genetics, and in the vary near future - seeking mitochondria dysfunction Dr, not to many in the country. Hopefully in the future they will understand mitochondria damage from bacteria, I cant rule this out either, I've slowly dabbled in this with some Drs.
One pattern I've noticed in the lyme world is fast recovery from simply killing the lyme is more common with the recently infected. Just "killing the critteres and then your fine" does not seem too common with long term infections. We have to do more. There are reasons we were/are like this that separates us from the "100% healed" people.
