Pirouette thanks for the follow up.
My current symptoms are chest thumping, head inflammation, foot/heel neuropathy and a sore throat/post nasal drip that comes and goes depending on the day.
The head inflammation seems nearly impossible to describe. It's not pain or pressure but feels a bit like I'm coming down with something. Also might feel a bit like a hangover. It doesn't affect my cognitive ability but its almost like a film or layer over my brain and it is more difficult to work through when it gets worse. I've had a few occasions this month where I get an 'attack' and then I get a hangover feeling shortly after. I'm thinking the process starts with toxic release from the bugs (whether its die off or something else no idea) and then my body reacts and it needs to clean it up similar to getting drunk and getting a hangover after but without the fun! I'm all ears if anyone has any idea on what/where this is coming from. I wish I had a better way to explain it. Almost always worse after noon and gets even worse later on in day from dinner to bed time.
Why aren't you treating babs?
I was treating babs for a year and I couldn't shake the head inflammation or the chest issues which really didn't surface until mid-Nov 2015. LLMD said lets try mixing it up and going after Bartonella as that may be what is causing your issues and/or blocking progress. When I started Rifampin/Cipro in mid-Jan that's when the chest thumping really exploded and I got the numbness/tingling in hands/feet and swollen lymph nodes under my armpits and behind my knees. Before that only chest thumping (and the ongoing head thing of course).
If you are actively treating more than just bart, then I'm not sure I'm following how stopping treatments for all infections is going to provide specific info.?
I think he's trying to unravel the onion by more specifically going after the bug that's causing the most prominent symptoms since I've been throwing all sorts of stuff at it for over a year and I'm no closer to knowing what the heck is causing what. Whatever I end up with may go after multiple bugs but my LLMD will only prescribe 2 abx at a time.
Do you mean to say the urine test will help you determine mold issues? Urine likely won't tell you much about
fungus?
Right its looking for mold exposure which creates mycotoxins. This could be complicating my treatment.
I started Diflucan about
4 days ago. I did have a worse sore throat for the first few days which is a bit better now which could possibly be a reaction to killing off y/f so maybe I do have it. Then again a sore throat was an early symptom of mine so hard to tell.
I'm only off abx/herbals for a week to see if it can help provide more clarity on future direction. I'm ok with the break being on abx for over a year is not the best for anyone. I might go herbal only we'll see if my symptoms are manageable.
