I would imagine that it just depends on the ole tick. Is he making contact with your blood? Then my assumption and common sense would say, he is infecting you.
The tick that infected me was probably on me at about
3pm or a little there after. I took a shower at 9pm and saw the bite but I guess I washed the tick off my arm. I never saw the tick. It was April and more than likely a nymph tick.
That right there is 6 hours! Now did he infect me at 8:30pm or 3:01pm? We just don't know.
