Possible new lyme test

I heard about this on a podcast i listen to- this lab is funding raising because they think that they have or can have a urine test for Lyme. It sounded interesting. what do you guys think? apparently the test will be around 50$ that's better than the $1500 i paid

It's unfortunate because boy, do we ever need improved testing. Perhaps you can revise your post to discuss what is being developed and why it's a something we can look forward to.

Well, I wasn't promoting or fundraising i was asking what people thought of the test and the possible cost. I won't post again with links.

echo, I am so sorry but the link was promoting a fund raiser.

I agree we all need new testing but the rules of the Forum Owner do not allow fund raisers.

Please do not be hurt by the moderators doing this. We have to, in order to keep this lyme forum. Please be understanding and do not feel like you are being picked on. It really is out of our control. All of us with lyme would definitely like to see better advancements in all areas of our health testing.

I found out the hard way about this rule too. My wife started a petition in Canada to ask the government to test blood donations in this country for lyme disease. I posted this on this and on several other disease forums linked to lyme. My membership was frozen here for about 3 months. I will not do this again. I ve learned my lesson here. :)

You must be thinking of another forum, Xfmlg. We don't have the ability to 'freeze' someone's account here. The only choices we have here is to either edit the post or ban the member.

We do have times where the forum is experiences 'glitches' or whatever and even I can't sign in, but it has nothing to do with the mods or Admin. It's something that happens from time to time and there was a time where we were having that issue frequently. Then Admin told us that he had updated and expanded (???) the servers or something like that and I've not had issues with signing in since that time. Maybe that's all that was happening.

What I didn't like about the article is that they won't say what the test even is, and I for one wouldn't give money to an unknown test that they promise is different, I want to see what they are testing and what they hope will happen first! We've had enough 'false alarms' and I'm a skeptic.
