I can't say if a neurologist will cooperate with Lyme and co's protocols.
I guess it depends on her background, experience, and if she/he is educated about Lyme and co's.
I hope you wont be asked to have a spinal tap done.
So, are you hoping to be treated by the Internist, and not look for a LLMD?
I made up my mind before ever going in there I would not submit to a spinal tap. That didn't come up.
Oddly my refusal to subject myself to any more mammograms came up.
I know where the LLMD is. My Internist called him to get an appointment for me. I do not have the assets to pay that LLMD or any others' fees, unless I want to sell my mobile home and property and live in my car.
The internist gave me a year long protocol sheet that only lists abx's. I've done the doxy 90 days, zithromax 90 dayss (I think), and I'm in the middle of flagyl. It wasn't until recently I learned from here how importing detoxing is. I'm still working on acquiring more detox methods...I have a half dozen ok for me to use, don't everything yet.
I'm trying to acquire the knowledge and
locations to go herbal. Because I'm convinced it will be a huge help even with the abx and knowing it may be my last alternative with these local people stop cooperating.
Daunting financially too, but far less so.
I would just be happy to have a medical person keep an eye on me, and be in on what I want/am trying to do. My internist, perhaps being a man of European descent, holds strong to "He is the Doctor, not me". attitude. And is scared out of his britches he's "going to hurt me", and get sued or worse.
