So confused

Wow, what does your PCP have planned for you? I hope he /she didn't just lay that out there with no options.

Let's see - I was diagnosed with a sinus infection, a possible brain tumor, maybe an old neck injury, ear infection caused by the sinus infection, arthritis......

All lyme.

I had to fire all my docs and take matters into my own hands. It was not the easy way to do it. I would have much rather had someone guiding me - and I did - this forum. I decided what protocol I wanted to take and found the person that was doing the best on it and asked for their advice.

I am so glad I did it my way.

I hope you find your way. Once you do, remember you can always change your mind. And who knows, maybe you just need to search and find that one special llmd?

So which nerve is it? There are studies that have been done and articles that have been written on Lyme affecting many of the nerves in the body, especially cranial nerves. That's what Neurological Lyme is all about - Lyme getting into the nervous system and reeking havoc.

I did antibiotics for about 6 weeks and then Beyond Balance for a month and then added in Buhner's protocol to Beyond Balance.

I am on maintenance of Buhner's which just means I do the core protocol 2 times a day and few added extras that are specific to my problems - heart and lymph (Red Root, Hawthorn and Motherwort) and I still do Beyond Balance Tox Ease GL and MC_BB-2.

I also am doing Houttuynia and Cryptolepis but am almost finished with those. I just want to finish out the bottles - I might was well. A little added insurance.

Oh and I do a super handful of vitamins and supplements. Always do my Biosil and collagen. I eat very organic and I detox a LOT!

Yes I am doing super. I started Buhner's in sept 2015. I really hate to put this out there because I don't want people to get disappointed if they don't get well in this amount of time.

I was extremely anal retentive about my herbs, vitamins and what I ate. I am a type A personality perfectionist. I also am retired. So I had no stress of a job or children living in the house. I could sleep when I was tired and basically all I did was take care of me.

I did not go anywhere I did not want to go or partake in anything I did not want to partake. I got selfish about my health. I had a goal and it was to get well.

Now about this well stuff. I am not cured and I do not believe I ever will be. But I am very happy where I am. I can tell that there is lyme in me and it would not take much for me to tip the scales where it came back with a vengeance. I do almost everything now in moderation. No staying up late, no drinking alcohol a lot at a party, nothing that makes me hyper, no horrific movies, no huge sugar intakes or even a lot of coffee.

It all is about balance. I cannot tip the scales or I will be sorry. This was hard for me to learn. I had to not tire myself to exhaustion. I have to be super good to myself. It was hard for me to learn to be selfish but now I look at it as survival and not being selfish.

Thankfully I have a husband that helped me get well. The biggest help he was is he laughed with me. I would get a twitch in my lower lip and we laughed about it. Wondering if I could join the circus and get some extra income. Just everything - we laughed. We tried to think of inventions that I could put on my feet when it felt like there was glass on them and I could not walk. Every symptom I got we joked about it. Of course some were so painful that I cried and he held me. That was all I needed. But honestly, the laughing about "another stupid symptom" was what got me where I am.

It is hard when you have to juggle everyone else's commitments along with your own.
