Can Babesia and/or Bartonella live outside the bloodstream?

We know Lyme can but never asked the question on whether these red blood cell inhabitants can live outside the bloodstream. I don't think Malaria can and that's similar to Babesia. Thanks for any responses.

I think that Bart can but I am not sure about Babesia.

Hopefully someone will come along that knows more about it.

Are you asking if it is sexually transmissible?
It may at some point BE outside the bloodstream for some reason but it generally needs a cell to reproduce and survive.

No i'm wondering if they can literally survive outside the bloodstream somewhere else in your body. Its an interesting question because if you can cleanse your blood of them so to speak you don't have to worry about biofilms or them hiding in your bone marrow or other nooks and crannies.

Babesia definitely can exist in the bone marrow.

"Because of pancytopenia (Table), a bone marrow biopsy was performed and showed intraerythrocytic ring forms with tetrads. Parasitemia level for a peripheral blood smear was 1.4%. A PCR result for B. microti was positive."
