Fevers

So tired of them, low grade or not. My normal temp,when I have one, is 98.3 not 98.6.

I've mentioned before that my Internist has put into my records that I have FUS. Fever Unknown Source. We all know what the source is.

One of his nurses commented "a fever below 100 means your body is winning the fight, above 100 and it's losing.
Mine is 100.3 at the moment. I'm stewing in my own juices, I think.
Day after day after day, on antibiotics or off. It's been unrelenting since February, at least, now. Couple that with not having a/c in my home here in hot and humid Missouri, and the aching that goes with fevers, I''m losing my sense of humor. Cool showers help only for a few minutes. The fans at 95-101 outside are useless. The usual tricks don't help for very long, or well enough.

Is there a safe herb I can take to bring it down and keep it down?

You must feel miserable! I wish I had a quick fix for you. I don't know of any herbs that will help with this, hopefully someone else will.

I was wondering if maybe you kept your feet in a bucket of cool water,or put a cool wet cloth on your neck if that would help. Or you could mist yourself frequently in front of the fan. And of course make sure to drink plenty of water and detox a lot.

Girlie, I don't know. I'm still trying to get tested for co-infections. I am positive for RMSF from a test March 2015, and pos for Lyme (but told it was a false positive) somewhere between '92 and '93.

You know that feeling that your wind up key in your back just stops completely and you aren't going to move under any circumstances unless it gets wound again? Sometimes I stop so thoroughly I'll find myself becoming aware I've been hurting pretty badly for hours yet forgotten to take a pain pill since the middle of the previous night.

Peppermint tea! I think I can manage that right now! I have all kinds of peppermints around here. I'll try to pick up a peppermint plant. Thank you so much.

My foot cool water soak has epson salts, sea salt, & sliced fresh ginger.

Did you know that adding salt makes cold,colder? That's why salt is added to the ice when making home made ice cream.
