I've been brewing JK and drinking down juice glass at a time and taking the cats claw capsules. Two days ago I ran out of the CC capsules. So yesterday I brewed the CC and Jk (raw powdered herb) together. I woke up very herxy. I took another juice glass after breakfast and I have a herx headache - even tho I took Ibuprofen to get going and make it to work. I have taken them together before, but never comingled like this.

Interesting, thanks for sharing.
I'm wondering how many capsules you were doing before, and how much powder you're doing now?

When I started I had cat's claw in my cupboard in capsules. I still do the capsules. Funny how I get set on the routine and don't change it....
Glad yours worked for you.

I'm like you, PeteZa - I find a routine and I'm very hesitant to change it! LOL! It's hard finding what works for us, so once we find it, I think we all like to hold on to that routine!

Because I was still working part time, I was taking lower doses. I will not start ramping up.
Yesterday's experiment was one tablespoon of each. I ran it through the screen coffee filter that came with my automatic drip. I have been doing that with the JK. I usually run several passes to get the most out of the JK. I make about
2 cups and I drink it periodically during the day. I had been taking about
8 capsules of cats claw in a day. I doubt the amount was significantly different.
I have also put a tbls of each in a smoothie - but I didn't get this result. Does brewing it
open up the potency?

I brew my herbs, and they have been very effective for me. The mix that has the herbs that you are talking about
I allow to steep for 10 minutes then strain. I do this every morning for the most effective medicinal tea I can use.
