Yup lots of people do capsules. It's a lot cheaper than buying the capsules pre-filled.
For me though, the idea of capsules is just added effort that I don't really feel like doing.
Plus, with the powder, you guarantee 8-12 cups of water intake every day. Bonus detoxing!
What I do is add a couple of herbs in a cup, and then add in water. Stir it good so that the powder dissolves, and drink. I usually do 3-4 herbs to a cup of water, depending on the amount of each herb.
I just ordered Chinese Cat's Claw the other day, and haven't received it yet, so I can't comment on how it tastes.
Most powdered herbs aren't too bad tasting (cat's claw, cordyceps, black walnut, olive leaf, cloves are all pretty decent; a lot of them make the water taste like tea).
The only one that tastes terrible to me is Japanese Knotweed. I've said it before, it tastes like a chain smoker ate a spoonful of peanut butter and then breathed into your cup haha. Maybe for others it's not so bad.
What I do is plug my nose while drinking, and I don't taste a thing. Honestly, literally zero taste. I plug my nose for all my herb drinks now, even the not so bad ones.
No joke, I could drink horse pee with this method and not notice anything!
