How does he know Dr. J's. protocols? Has Dr. J. trained him?
...or is he just following the pulsed method that Dr. J. does?
I've heard interviews with Dr. J. as well as looked at others' protocols and while it's not ideal - not the same as seeing Dr. J. - I think it's still better than daily dosing.
I had a good slideshow of his where he discusses starting off with a lesser killing protocol for a few months, and then after that it's the protocol with the kill zone - (heavy hitting). The link to the slideshow isn't working anymore though.
Has your Dr. been in treatment for the past two years? or longer? Is he still treating as he recovers?
I had my appointment yesterday and asked a bunch of questions.
My doctor is still treating with abx and has been for over 2 years. He is not 100% yet, but is very close to it. I asked him what their patient success rate is. He stated 90% using the Jemsek Protocol, or a variation there of.
Also, my suspicion of having Bartonella was pretty much confirmed. I explained to him that I was bit by a cat 5 years ago and had the red line going up my arm. He stated that was an indication of Cat Scrath Fever, which is Bartonella. And even though I was treated for 10 days, same as I was for my bull's eye rash, it was not long enough given that I am getting old symptoms back since starting Lyme treatment. He said that Jemsek's protocol should hit the Bart as well as Babs, if I have that. But, that if I don't see some improvement in 3 months, he will add Rifampin the mix.If you're not taking a Fluoroquinolone or Rifampin it's unlikely you will get rid of Bart.
Dr J treats Bart with a Fluoro, Rifampin, or Rifabutin.I am on a pulsed protocol. If I were to add Rifampin, would I pulse it along with all my other meds?
