Does anyone ever recover from chronic Lyme disease? Because I have neuroborreliosis and psychiatric symptoms and behavioral struggles like binge eating and drinking alcohol, I can’t live perfectly for the rest of my life according to strict protocols (have tried for 10+ years) unless Lyme treatment helps. IM Rocephin seems to be helping, so besides staying afloat by doing my part, I wonder if I’ll ever be well enough to have a life? I really only want to hear from people in (full?) remission and cultivate some hope and motivation...
Too bad that you only want to hear from people in full remission because you are so missing out on words of wisdom and hope from forum members who may not be in full remission but who have made so many positive strides in getting better, that they are as you say, "living" their lives.I agree. I'm not "fully" recovered but am living a totally functioning life. My symptoms are mild and every once and awhile. Just "bothersome" but totally enjoying life still.
Making it to this point of recovery is very significant as well. It's really not full remission or bust. What's "good" about
this point of recovery is I can continue to treat but still go on with my life.
In the beginning when I was really sick this was my life and only life and it has to be when you feel SO terrible.
Edit: but when I do herx, it does suck. But I just have to take it easy for a few days and then I'm back.
