Had my first naturopath appt today. She feels that based on my history/symptoms/test/etc that I have chronic Lyme that is out of my blood. Before she starts treating the Lyme/coinfections and possible Candida, she wants me to do this 28 day detox to check for food sensitivities (my insurance pays for nothing, so blood tests by her are out of the question, too expensive).
Has anyone ever done this Metagenix 28 day "Clear Change" detox? You take specific amounts of: UltraInflamX and AdvaClear for the duration and it comes with a guide of things to eat, when to eat them and when to cut them out of your diet, etc
This is also expensive (though less expensive than out of pocket blood tests), I do have an allergist I saw yesterday who is blood testing me for environmental allergies and food allergies, but not sensitivities. I am going back in August to do a patch test called the T.R.U.E. test. Who could I see that could test my blood for food sensitivies? If my naturopath can have the lab do it, then why can't I have maybe the allergist test me? She said something about having the IgA's tested, because the allergist is only testing for IgE's.
Also, when I go back to the naturopath in a month, she is going to use the Biocidin protocol for Lyme and Candida. Anybody have any experience with this? I'm not sure she's the best to treat my Lyme, but I do feel that she is very supportive of helping me along my path.
I'm trying to figure out if the $250ish dollars I spent on this 28 day detox food sensitivity thing is worth it? Like most everyone else on this forum, money is tight.
