Bill and I finally told two of our best friends (a married couple) that I have Lyme disease and that Bill probably has it. And when they asked about
symptoms, I started describing the bull's eye rash, and the husband said, "Look at this." And he showed us three bull's eye rashes at his waist line.
He didn't remember having a recent insect bite, but these three, quarter-sized red circles surely looked like Lyme to me. The centers were clear in two of them, and the third was solid red.
Our friend sent pictures of the rash to his son, who is an MD. But he didn't reach him while we were together.
We gave our friend the name of our LLMD, the address of this board and information about
Igenex. Can y'all think of something else we could have done to help him?
Here's something I'm curious about
. Our friend is from NY. Suppose he was infected years ago and that the Lyme was dormant for years. Is it possible the bull's eye rash would show up years later in a time of stress? Or does the rash mean he has recently been bitten?
(Lots of edits, trying to improve the grammar.)
