Left shoulder blade pain

Anyone get pain their left shoulder blade or the right? This is a new symptom. It is isolated to one area, but it hurts. It first started as a burning pain, then like a dull ache. It has decreased in intensity over the last 3 hours. Not sure what this is about.

The only thing I can think of is on Friday at my doctor visit they had me awkwardly lying on the left side (pretty much right on that blade) with my arm bent under my head. I was in that position for a very long time and this is my arm/side that has the most pain. Then I had to do the treadmill and then I had to quickly get back in that position.

So I'm wondering if this is a delayed reaction to that.

Thanks Denikeef. So I went to the doctor and I had an ekg, x-rays, a swab for strep, etc. Great doctor that I saw this am. Anyway everything looked good. He said he thinks it was a delayed inflammation response to Friday. He said that if there is inflammation that is going to present from an action, its typically 48-72 hours. Well that's my window. It was just so daggon strange, upsetting, and painful.

He said its right on my scalpula. Before I went I tried heat, it made the pain worse. You know these strange symptoms are really plucking a nerve.

Oh...the doctor I saw was pretty knowledgeable about lyme snd co's so he was reassurring in telling me based on this and this, I wasnt presenting with symptoms of x. Whew....I needed that this morning.

I do have pain in my left shoulder and had for over 8 months... Comes and goes.. Sometimes gets worse... Sometimes I confuse it with heatrache... Do not know what it is... Some joint somewhere is damaged...

Krimpet - left shoulder blade pain? Oh, yeah. That was my very first symptom...

And, I would read about shoulder pain...and most people are talking about their shoulder (top) - not the blade...but that is my worst issue with lyme. And it's the blade.

And the thing is...there was never any muscle knots - or tightness. Mine was nerve related.

If there's one thing I can recommend - is keep moving it if you can. I developed frozen shoulder.
Although, I was moving it as best I could...the nerves didn't really allow full motion, and now my shoulder blade is 'stuck' to my ribs. Even though I have full range of motion with my arm now...my shoulder blade isn't moving properly...and my Physio is trying to 'unstick' it.

I am must hoping not to experience that again. Awful, just awful. I really think mine was attributed to that position I was in and the doc seemed to agree.....but we'll see. Arghhhh 😩
