How long is typical to get results?

I live on Long Island and I had blood work done last week. She claims it's going to Califoria. How long should results take? How do I request results? Will I have a problem obtaining them from the doctor? I won't be able to call the lab and ask right?

If it went to IgeneX, my experience has been about a month.

You can call them and get an update on what stage test is in. Also, you can ask that your results be mailed to you. Hopefully your doctor is getting them faxed to him/her to speed things up.

You should now be able to get results directly from Lab. If I recall correctly one new requirement with ObamaCare was full patient access to lab reports. Press for this. I think its buried on page 1798 of 2150 or thereabouts.
