Antibiotic question

Sorry for so many questions. I'm on Doxcy. 100 mg. 2x a day. I have written on here this week about how they make me sick. Today was such a bad day. I only took one. Do you think it is ok if I do 2/1/2/1, etc... to give my body a break. I cannot function on these meds. I can't be outside (sunlight) and I feel terrible. The time that the meds have worn off (morning) I feel pretty normal than within 1-1.5 hours of taking the abx. I feel sick and very weak. Can someone who has been there, done that, chime in. I is only day 7 of a four week protocol. As always, thank you.

May I ask, did you have bulls-eye and just go right to herbs or are you a chronic lymie? I hope you feel better now.

I will re-read and order tomorrow. I have been doing: vit c/mag, vit B12, sun warrior immune shield, lots of lemon water and vegetables, probiotics, magnesium oil, essential oils. Guess I'm not doing enough yet. It's all so new - I'm learning, ordering but most things haven't arrived yet. THANKS! If you had to pick 1-3 gentle detox items which would you choose?

Huddie - Am I remembering correctly and you have a recent infection?
You had it only two weeks before you started treatment?
If so, I wouldn't do a pulse approach.

Try to up your detoxing, as Denikeef suggested.

Are you feeling nauseous after you take the doxy?
If so, maybe try some ginger tea...

Maybe after doing a few days of one a day, you will be able to increase to 2 a day.
That will give you some pills leftover and on week 4 you could do a few days of 3 per day.

I think if you can add in an herbal protocol to continue after your doxy runs out is a good idea.

Sun and doxy are not good also need to be paired with another 1 or 2 abx.flagle or tinidazole....get on 100 bil probiotic. Also nystatin to prevent yeast....you registered in nov? One month doxy rarely does it and borreliosis never travels alone..what are your coinfections? Were you cdc positive. .do you have llmd yet?..

Huddie, I would be very suspicious that you too have had Lyme for a long while.

There is no real way of knowing when you got it, unless you remember a tick bite. For me I had several as a young person...I am old now Lol. At that time we didn't think anything about it. I do remember dealing with POTS, severe anxiety, stomach issues as a teen as well as being frequently ill.

There are many people who have Lyme with no symptoms because their immune systems are healthy. Often a tramatic event that challenges the immune system will trigger the Lyme to become very active and the immune system can't control it. Part of the reason for this is that Lyme has the ability to "hide" from the immune system in biofilms. They also constantly change form which makes it hard for the system to recognize it and get rid of it.

In my case, 5 years ago I had two emergency abdominal surgeries and then within two years lost both of my parents. I feel that is what triggered it for me. But there is the possibility that I got it from several transfusions I had at the time. Lol...there are so many possibilities with Lyme unless you remember the exact tic bite and or saw the rash.
