Sorry about
the symptoms! What a strange journey we are on...
I would say with almost certainty that it's yeast. While the individual sx you shared can be attributed to other causes, nothing you included in your post (in aggregate) makes me think of anything else other than yeast/ fungus overgrowth. It's possible you have had y/f issues all along but didn't know it because it causes many of the same sx as Lyme & co.
I like Krimpet's list (in fact, we should consider adding it to the y/f post in the "new to Lyme?" Thread...) But I am going to suggest something else, too:
If all you had was throat/mouth thrush, I'd bet the foods and herbs you could swish and swallow (coconut oil) could do the trick because in essence, some of them are making direct contact with the y/f as you swallow, vs. a pill for local y/f overgrowth (Nystatin) that affects only your stomach or a systemic antifungal pill (Diflucan) that has to work through the blood stream.
Now, some y/f act like a connected "biofilm" in a way, and if it originates in the gut, killing it in the gut can often also kill what is growing up the throat. But sometimes not all the way into the mouth. I think systemic antifungal pills are usually not effective for oral thrush. So, I think that and you should try Krimpet's list for the thrush.
But the loss of appetite and dizziness are dead giveaways for overgrowth in the gut and joint and muscle pain could also be indicative of systemic y/f overgrowth, which often starts with overgrowth in the gut that seeps into the bloodstream through a damaged mucosal lining caused by leaky gut. If that is what is going on you are in a whole other category...
Based on my investigation into y/f issues, most EXISTING overgrowth in the gut and certainly anything systemic is less likely resolved by natural remedies, which are more effective for maintenance and prevention.
I strongly encourage you to try the PURE Nystatin powder for your gut and if your systemic issues are really bad, you need a systemic Rx too. Maybe a short course will do it. Ironically, if your leaky gut is really bad the Nystatin will get into your bloodstream and help with systemic overgrowth.
And for any of these remedies to work for EXISTING overgrowth, you'll definitely need to abstain entirely from beer, yeast, wine, breads - any other sources of sugar - until all the sx are gone.
Once your sx are under control, I'd take the powder after each subsequent abx dose until you stop taking abx. There's no way to know for sure, but generally, once you develop a y/f problem it kinda sticks with you. So it's going to be a possible challenge with every abx dose you take from now on. This will help ensure that when you're done, you have no lingering issues.
Hope this is helpful!
