Tingling from doxy?

I've started getting tingling in my left hands and toes. Other than being bitten by a feral kitten, the only other thing I've changed is starting Doxy.

Anyone else had this kind of reaction to Doxy? I'm thinking is epithet that or the crazy horrible panic attack I've been having for two days...

It could very well be a herx from the doxy. Along with panic attacks. That could be a herx as well unless they are flares. I would increase the detox and see if that relieves it some. =)

Panic attack can be a herx? I'm so happy to hear this because I was pretty sure that i was going crazy all of the sudden

I don't know how relevant, but a bite/scratch from a cat followed by new symptoms screams Bartonella to me.

A reaction to doxy seems likely as well however.

Mustard seed, I went to my naturopath of Monday and my body reacted very strongly to Bartonella and he suggested I treat that. The next day I got bitten by the cat and all my symptoms went on over drive. Can you introduce something into your system that you already have and get a big reaction?

i do agree with mustard seed and the cat bite

also, are you in the sun often? bc doxy and the sun do not mix, and can end up giving you weird numbness/tingling sensations, including peripheral neuropathy.

Numbness and tingling are often part and parcel of neurolyme. Neurolyme gave me periperal neuropathy before I ever started abx or any other treatment. My Dr. repeatedly had my a1c tested and it was fine every time, and he insisted for the longest time I must smoke, or am around smokers. No to both.

The cat bite might have overwhelmed your already taxed immune system, so it's possible your increased bad reaction was due to that. But others with more knowledge will weigh in on that.

ETA: I had horrible panic attacks for years after first getting infected, and I wasn't being given any treatment at all. I still have them when I am over stressed.

Krimpet, I don't know what it was that he tried on me for the Bartonelle, but I know it's part of the herbal remedy that they use. He wanted to wait until I was done with the Doxy before doing anything because of herx.

Chapelle, I've been avoiding the sun like I'm a vampire since i started the Doxy.
