CardioNet minitor-monitoring heart health

OK. So I posted some time ago that I had a visit with my cardiologist and had some extensive testing which everything looked great. However, my doctor said lets just go ahead and track me with a heart monitor for a while. So I suggested 2 weeks which I just completed last Friday.

So it's 2 parts. There is a small portable device that gathers data from the sensor and sends the information to CardioNet's 24 hour monitoring center. The monitor automatically transmits data using a built in cell phone. The monitor will transmit ECG's from your heart automatically, however you can also record symptoms as you feel them.

Then there is the sensor. You wear a sensor that has three lead wire leads that gather data from your heart. This is worn around your neck and the wire leads (are snapped onto the electrodes) which are placed in specific areas on your body. After 48 hours it was recommended to move the leads to a different position.

OK. So why I am telling you all this? Well I'm wondering whether I reacted negatively to this sensor. The reason why I say this is because after a couple of days of wearing it, I really felt worse. My heart palps increased. My heart rate became higher than it was before. I seemed to have more chest pains.

Since I've completed this, things have calmed down a little. My pulse rate isn't as high or erratic. It's very weird. I'm still dealing with more heart palps which again increased while wearing the monitor. I guess I have to keep detoxing whatever out. I'm wondering if perhaps there were some EMF's that were causing things to go somewhat erratic.

It seems funny that knowing how EMF's can cause problems there hasn't been another method created. It certainly sounds like it was an issue for you. You should bring it up with your cardiologist. I would be curious as to what he has to say.

I agree with that you likely were reacting to the EMF's. Not all Lyme patients do, and I only did when I was really ill from these infections. I would not suggest you talk to your Cardio doc though, unless they are Lyme Literate. You will likely be told it doesn't happen. BUT, do be sure to talk with your Lyme doc about it!!

There's not much you can do about it, other than avoid the EMF's, though and be aware that they are 'in' many things we use now.

At one point in time, I couldn't use anything electric - heating pads, electric blankets, microwaves, and I couldn't tolerate being under fluorescent lighting for more than a few minutes, and things like that. For me, this has all gone away as I've healed though.
