Do you need a prescription to buy LDN? Can you get through a naturopath doctor?

What exactly does it do and are there risks associated?

Yes you need a prescription. And it needs to be compounded - so a compounding Pharmacy.

I haven't heard of any risks associated with it.

There is a website - it's fairly rudimentary..but it's what I used for information:

I actually read about it, and asked my GP to prescribe it...and she did...she took quick look at the information and wrote me a prescription.

Oh interesting, I dont' think my doctor would do it for me as she thinks there is nothing wrong with me at all. How has it worked for you Girlie?

There are a few risks if taken in large amounts if you have certain health conditions. However that's only if you are taking 50mg or more. Typical dosages are 4.5mg or less. The website Girlie posted is excellent for learning more about LDN.

evian - It didn't work for me. I started low - can't remember if it was 1.5 mg...and slowly increased ...

That is when my pain started at night. I used to only have pain during the day...so it freaked me out and since that was the only new thing I was doing, I stopped it.

Many report good results with it.
