1 - bacterial resistance is not much of a concern when it comes to lyme. Candida actually has more of a tendancy to have resistance issues.
in my case, my doctor switched up my protocol every 6-8 weeks, because she follows the lyme cycle, which changes every 6-8 weeks (which is when new symptoms come for example). so she either added, took away, switched a particular medication or herb, or increased the dose every cycle.
2. yes, as others have said, tindamax and flagyl work as cyst busters, however they do come with side effects and a cancer risk with these is also a concern. Grapefruit seed extract is a known cyst buster, and also serrazymes (serrapeptase) is another good one - known as a biofilm buster, which is also important.
its totally fine for you to take antibiotics plus a cyst buster plus a biofilm buster - as long as you introduce everything slowly - I wouldn't start on all of them at the same time. I was on them all - two antibiotics, serrapeptase, and grapefruit seed extract (but i wasnt on this one for long, really couldn't tolerate it)
3. yes, it varies per individual, however pay attention to the 6-8 week mark. based on my knowledge, I do not recommend anyone to remain on the same protocol for more than 3 months. when you notice improvements, great, continue, but if you notice you are at a standstill, or new symptoms arise when you are not herxing, then it is time to switch up!
