I fully appreciate MustardSeed's suggestions about
alternates to whey protein.
However, I suggest you definitely incorporate gelatin into your diet.
Tim Scott (one of Buhner's recommended herbalists) reminded me last week that Lyme feeds on collagen. Well, collagen is the glue that holds our bodies together:
www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/262881.phpGelatin is collagen - you can't get a more direct route ;) Bone broth is collagen-dense.
While I was taking 2 tbsp vs 1 tbsp gelatin daily per Buhner's recommendation in his newer Lyme book, I find that I'm feeling better following Tim's suggestion to take more...
In addition to the 3 tbsp of gelatin I now use in my smoothie, I add 2 tbsp to my morning oatmeal and that same amount into the guacamole that is part of my afternoon snack.
If nothing more, your nails and hair will be stronger ;)
