Thanks again tooty you saved the day and quelled my suspicions....for now i stick to the game plan ... what do you think about mixing bvt with herbs or abx ? The is much to about nothing on lnet about this ...
I just think treatment is so individualized that we can't try to cram ourselves into someone else's treatment boots so to speak. What works for one many times does not work for the next person, etc.
My personal opinion about
BVT with ABX or herbs is that it depends on the mix of infections present in each person's body. The homework that I have done looking at the medical literature pertaining to BVT points to the fact that BVT works against many pathogens, but not all, and not equally against those it does.
There is strong evidence about
it's antimicrobial action against Bb, fungus, apicomplexans, biofilms, l-forms, and certain gram-positive bacteria. But, it's not equal against each one of those, nor is there any literature that I found about
it's antimicrobial activity against Bartonella specifically.... I could only find some literature comparing it's effectiveness between gram-negative vs. gram-positive bacteria in general.
So, one can deduct (from the literature) that it has very little (if any) antimicrobial activity against Bartonella specifically, and probably little activity against gram-negative bacteria in general.
Thus, one can see why there are various responses to BVT- it depends on the mix each one is dealing with. And, that is why I think a person should not discontinue ABX or herbal treatments (while doing BVT) until there is clear indication of a positive response.
If one has Bartonella, it is probably wise to have some type of treatment that covers that because there is only sketchy anecdotal claims in regards to its effectiveness for that particular infection. Hopefully, more scientific research will be done about
it.....
