Someone suggested I get tested for Cpn because I get a flu-like reaction to N-Acetyl-Cysteine.

Can Cpn mimic Lyme? Would it be worth getting ruled out?

I think this is just a urine test. It will not hurt to have the test. Peace of mind is worth something rather than wondering.

Cpn doesn't mimic Lyme, but it is one of the infectious conditions that often accompany it.

Cpn is a blood test , it is a intercellular infection and infects the endothilial lining .it is implicated in many diseases. Treatment is similar to lyme ..i believe it is opportunistic as immune sx goes it proliferates like virus.

nac is a precurser to glutithione ..and may open fetox pathway if you have cbs mutation...it does kill one form of it too

Cpn and Lyme have many of the same symptoms, so it's tricky. I did find this for symptoms:

I guess by 'mimic' I meant share symptoms. Everyone's telling me I probably have Lyme & co, but it could be just as likely I have Cpn, which is giving me grief, so I should at least have that ruled out.

I know Lyme testing isn't reliable, but is Cpn easier to pick up with Igg, Igm and PCR testing?

From my understanding, yes, Cpn has more reliable testing.
