Dear Forum ....
I am going to add uncaria rhynchophylla to the Buhner protocol. Anyone used it here? It is the most expensive of all the natural medicine I bought!!! mad SIGH
I also would like to add to the protocol GSE.
Does anyone have suggestions?
Should I take them all at the same time? Should I space apart the GSE?
Should I still use Cat's Claw with the other Uncaria Rhynchophylla?

Raw form it wasnt that pricey...it did help with my twichy...the chinese cats claw seemed better ..gse didnt hit me that hard maybe in digestive ...

I did the Gou Teng (unicaria rhynchophylla) at the same time that I did Cat's Claw. I took the Cat's Claw in capsules about 10 minutes before I did the Gou Teng in tincture form with the rest of my herbs.

No problems at all.

I did not do the GSE. But if I had of, I would have done that the same time as my Cat's Claw capsules.

I continue to take Gou Teng (in a larger dose now) per the advice of Tim Scott (one of Buhner's recommended herbalists) to help with my residual symptoms of neuro Lyme.

I had been taking Gou Teng along with many, many other herbs (including Cat's Claw) and those herbs brought me to 99% healed (I got up to 90% healed on abx). I didn't space anything.

The herbs work synergistically (they enhance the actions of each other).

GSE was part of my protocol when I was on abx - I took it to help with cyst form.

I believe Buhner mentions GSE in his newer Lyme book and I know he mentions there's no need to space anything.

Everybody's body is different and responds differently to different types of treatment. I don't think anyone can credit any particular herb for anything - it's more what the entire protocol accomplishes for the particular individual.

We try things that make sense.....and hope it works.

Have you tried 1st Chinese Herbs to source your herbs? I find them reasonably-priced (you can get a 10% discount if you type LYME in the promo code box at checkout and can get free shipping for orders >$40).

LOL on my spacing. That 10 minutes is that all my capsules are taken when I am having my morning drink upstairs on the computer on this forum. about 10 minutes later I would walk downstairs and take my tinctures in the kitchen. LOL

Good to hear it helped you. I am hopeful now. Not sure the antibiotics helped at all.

Where are you getting your information about Buhner's protocols?

His new Lyme book lists Gou Teng as a required herb for neuroborreliosis (neuro Lyme).

There is always hope because healing is possible. We "just" need to find what works for us.

I wanted to agree with CD on this, as that was the case for me. I tried a full year of abx treatment and it failed me. I went out on my own and started using herbs before Buhner, Cowden, and all the other alternatives were recognized to work, but it was herbs that worked for me.

You are far from alone to find out abx alone didn't work for you.
