First appointment today after first having symptoms start about 7 weeks ago. Her LLMD (if you can call her that) has been doing this a few months so isn't very knowledgeable but her mentor (who is my LLMD) is very much so and reviews all the protocols. So here's the short of it.
She's been on Doxy 100mg 2x/day and they're going to leave it at that for another month and see how the new things they're adding are going to work. My LLMD signed off on this. Not sure how I personally feel about it but her myriad of symptoms may be why they want to go low and slow.
She's getting all sorts of bloodwork done (adrenals, full metabolic panel, inflammatory markers, MTHF, ferritin, magnesium a few others). They took 15 vials of blood.
Doctor did something with her eyes and said she has fatigued adrenals. Interesting.
Starting Pekana detox kit, B-Complex, Vit D3 w/K2, DHEA, some anti-inflammatory called Curaphen and this other expensive one called Omega SPM Active and Drenatropin.
Doctor said she has a yeast problem so starting Nystatin. Also takes Florastor.
Also getting co-infection panels mostly from Stony Brook labs out in Long Island (only had full Lyme panel from Igenex which was positive)
Thoughts? Seems their big concerns are the inflammation and getting the current symptoms that all came out (except the neuropathy) when she started taking Doxy.
