Why not try it with just the HP, no Epsom salt. He's still getting some detox and then perhaps you can figure out where the issue is.

Traveler has dealt with that also. She has to only do foot soaks and even then started out very slowly with just a few minutes.

It does sound like a herx. I would ask myself if this child has a tendency towards more herx from treatments than the rest of the family. You could go to other detox methods as well if you think it is a sensitivity to HP.

Hopefully someone with this same sensitivity will respond as they would have more knowledge.

Can he handle garlic ? Cbs is tuff ..molybdenum has helped ...also nutrimedix make a product called sparga its made from asparagus. .i have been eating a lot of it and get this burnt plastic smelling urine that trav talks about ...

I did not do well with Epsom salt foot soaks. I only did it once, it made me sick feeling to my stomach and I said, "no thank you ever again."

I found many, many other ways to detox. I think for me, it was the warm water. Once I got lyme I was not good with hot or warm water.

I have not tried epsom salt foot soaks or baths. That sick feeling from the first try was horrible. It made me nauseous.

Because I took cold showers for such a long time when I was ill, and now it is summer, I love cool or cold showers still. I guess it is just a habit. But I am curious what will happen in winter when it is snowing here. LOL!

I will keep you posted.
