A lot of spacing decisions are based upon the half-lives of the things we take and whether taking any concurrently with something else might affect the benefits of each (as in, Vitamin C should not be taken at the same time as B12 since negatively impacts the absorption of B12...or the fact that binders need to be taken 2-3 hrs. away from EVERYthing, etc. ).
At the point with my greatest intake of various Lyme and general health support items, I was taking stuff first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, stuff with breakfast, stuff at 9AM and 11AM, stuff with lunch, stuff at 2PM and then 3PM, stuff with dinner, stuff at 9PM, stuff at 11PM/bedtime and stuff in the middle of the night (activated charcoal).
I definitely space my herbs around the clock for more "continuous coverage"...the rest depends on optimal dosing times/parameters for stuff.
It just makes sense to me.
