Smell that?

My olfactory sense is has been "off" the past 6mo or so. I have this faint sinus infection type aroma in the background on my smell. If I flare my nostrils and sniff, it smells like infection. Puss on a bandaid smell but deep within my olfactory sense. I also smell a cool sensation like if you were to open the freezer and inhale the chilled air through your nose only no temperature is involved. Tough to explain. It's bizarre and frightening. ENT ran tests and I have mild sinusitis. I know it's Lyme related. I use to have the nose of a bloodhound picking up scents in all directions. Now I get excited when whiffs of smell cross my path

I'd like to hear about similar experiences.

I have had that same issue at times. I will even get that "cold air feeling" on an arm or leg. And I do believe it is the lyme. I have also had the wierd experience that Suzee talks about with the burning smell at odd times. To me it would smell like electrical fire. My husband could never smell it. I would get that at home, in the car...different places so I knew it wasn't an actual issue.

Lyme is just strange how it messes with everything including our senses.

I have a super sensitive smeller and then when lyme hit I smelled all kinds of weird things. I did get the electrical fire smell and the dirt smell. I would smell dirt as if I were in a dust bowl.

It went away with treatment, but the electrical fire smell was scary.
