Does Coartem Affect Gut Flora?

My doctor wants me to try three rounds of Coartem in addition to the Cryptolepsis I am using. I came off antibiotics due to my gut suffering and I am wondering if Coartem affects the intestinal flora like an antibiotic. Any thoughts?
