Currently I work in an office M-F 9-5 and work as a server 1-2 nights per week (for my day boss' restaurant).
Lately, I'm having a lot of questions about lifestyle choices, etc Sorry if this isn't appropriate for this forum.
My boss and managers at both places have been so great once they found out what I was dealing with healthwise. In fact, my boss has a close friend who is very sick from Lyme and Co. and he put me in touch with her and she's been a tremendous help.
I can't imagine leaving either place and starting over but the restaurant work is getting difficult: I can't think fast enough when it gets busy, I have problems with elapsed time/memory, my hands sometimes have tremors which makes people think I'm drunk/hungover and I'm worried one day I'll drop plates, glasses, etc., I can't move fast enough because of the muscle stiffness, I get dizzy being on my feet too long, I startle easily, I get claustrophobic, and I get VERY angry at any type of criticism from my co-workers (there were a few times when I almost walked out mid shift!)
I need the second job to supplement my income (it's decent money without long hours) but at my best I'm about 75% of who I used to be which stresses me out. Most of my time at work consists of me trying to deal with my weirdness and just make it through to the end of the day.
It just got me wondering if there were really any ideal jobs for us and what are they?
