Seeing LLMD Wednesday what questions should I ask?

I'm seeing LLMD on Wed. and the smart lyme angels suggested I write down my questions. Since the visit is so expensive, I don't think I will be having two. So don't want to forget anything. This is what I have so far?
-How do I seem? Is this a mild or moderate case?
-I have a feeling once in a while at site of bite – is this normal?
-Is site of bite related to where bacteria enters? Concerned mine is close to heart.
-Is it possible to treat with herbs/supplements and no more antibiotics?
-If I choose to not take anymore abx. what can happen?
-Is it normal to feel so pain after the abx. stops and still be ok?
-How do I discern more lyme symptoms with just something else?
-Concerned about my brain - should I have a scan?
-Have a bit of a phobia/scare about detoxing and too much releasing from brain and making me worse. I’m super sensitive.

Anything missing? Thanks.

Here are some you might want to ask:


Do they believe in Chronic LD and long-term treatment of LD.

What protocol do they use for lyme and the co-infections.

How long will they treat with antibiotics? Do they use IV's? and when?

What are their thoughts on supportive therapy?

How do they decide when treatment can be stopped?

Can they be reached in between appointments if I have a question?

Are they keeping current with new information - do they attend conferences?

You do want to be careful on how you phrase your questions. Rather than ask "Is it possible to treat with herbs/supplements and no more antibiotics?" I would encourage you to ask "What are your feelings on herbal only treatments?"

Rather than "Have a bit of a phobia/scare about detoxing and too much releasing from brain and making me worse. I’m super sensitive. " Ask what his/her opinion is of detoxing and if they have any suggestions. If they are pro-detoxing, then tell them your a bit nervous about releasing too many toxins from the brain.

You want to get as much information from them as possible, and if you find out where they stand on these things before "tipping your hand", you will hear their real thoughts on these things - hopefully.

Huddie-Keep in mind the $950 fee is a first appointment charge only. Follow up appointments are much less and you can schedule those out. A lot of people see their doctor every 6-8 weeks but you can stretch that a bit if need be to save a little money.

If you have been fortunate enough to get in with a top notch doctor that may save you a ton of money in the long run.
