Deferred onset of symptoms after killing bugs?

It is a highly context dependent scenario. I have taken massive doses of antimicrobials only to herx three days later and have taken very small doses of the same herb and herxed within minutes. My experience mostly seems to be that if i haven't treated in a while the former scenario is true, whereas if i've recently treated the latter is true. As if treatment sensitizes me to die-off reactions. Perhaps detox routes are clear before the initial onslaught and get slowed up with prolonged treatment? Perhaps the immune system just isn't as active from all the immuno suppression and is then released after a substantial amount of bugs die? Not sure what the case is. But it's one of the many important reasons to go slow and steady imo. The other week i took 3 droppers of sida acuta before noting a reaction. A month before that I took 3 droppers for a week, added bidens, added cryptolepis THEN noted a reaction. Now i take 2 DROPS of Sida to maintain myself and any more causes a reaction within minutes.

Honestly I personally wouldn't pulse until you have established a solid pattern. I can relapse within 12 hours of stopping antimicrobials so it becomes very difficult to distinguish a delayed herx from a relapse. If you maintain a dose of abx you will often experience a progressive worsening and gradual resolution. As the abx becomes more steady in your blood stream you will get a better idea of when the die-off occurs relative to your dose. It's at that point i would personally consider pulsing as you know everything after that is just relapse/remission until theoretically there is no more relapse.

Just my thoughts

I generally will herx mildly within a day or two of starting a new herb or increasing a herb. Generally I will increase my detoxing which helps significantly and thus have been able to keep the herx at a minimum.

Girlie that's exactly where i've been since starting treatment 18 months. There were 5 months when I first showed symptoms and before I started taking medications. During that time I definitely had a more pronounced pattern where things always got worse in the middle to late afternoon and peak at night only to die down again. Also pretty much every Tues I would get a big flare up/herx whatever you want to call it which led me to confirm i had babesia (which showed up on igenex test) and maybe bart since they have similar lifecycle patterns. Since then there's no pattern at all.

i haven't seen this pattern work for me except my head issues are a bit better since i started going after bart directly 8 months ago, and i've been through a lot of abx combos.

very frustrating cause you don't know if you're actually making progress or not when there's no identifiable pattern of improvement after many months.
