CBC/EBV numbers can anyone interpret?

Post Lyme from my CBC - wondering if these are normal or bad number:

1. WBC 5.1
2. RBW 11.8
3. EBV capsid ab IgG 7.4 - IgM 0.2
4. T3 free: 3.29

These are just the numbers I am concerned about. Thanks

Huddie please post the ranges for each. I will tell you that the TSH is fairly good. Some people say they feel better mid-higher range, but this is not true for all people. Some people feel hyperish in the higher three-four ranges. All of my doctors state they like to see at least a 3.2-3.5 for T3.

Thank you! I'll try to look up the ranges. I take T3/T4 so those numbers are helped along but glad to know my T3 hasn't plummeted yet.

Ranges:
WBC 5.1: Range: 3.8-10.5
RBW 11.8: Range: 11.9-15.5
EBV: IgG 7.4: Range: Negative = <=0.8/equivocal 0.9-1.0/Positive >=1.1
EBV: IgM 0.2: Range: All the same as IgG
T3 free 3.29: Range: 2.0-4.4 pg/ml

Your RBC is a little low, which may indicate a Babesia infection or anemia. More testing would be necessary I believe.

EBV tests show that you could still have an active infection (many with Lyme have active EBV), but you would need more tests to know. According to this site, you would need the VCA-IgG and EA-D IgG tests still before you would know.

And it looks like your T3 is in a good place for the most part.

Now you would have to go by your symptoms in order to know if you need more testing, or a change in your medication.

Thank you so much. Dr. R ordered lots of blood tests (pretty much for all of the reasons you mention). I get those results next week. Was just curious about the latest. I had my bi-annual full CBC in April and then had another one about two weeks post bite. Curious to see the new numbers.

Seriously - you guys could be doctors, of certainly PA's. You rock!

Huddie - have you had your Ferritin done?

- as Traveler said your RBC is a bordering on low.

The Ferritin is your stores...might want to have that checked.

Thanks. I had blood taken yesterday and will get results next week. However, before bite, April 2016 - ferritin is 62.0 (range: 13-150). It has not yet been measured post bite.

What brings our number up?

To bring the ferritin up - supplementing with iron.

I take a liquid one from the health food store: Floradix.

Mine wasn't really low either, I think it was 45...but my Dr. thought that it should be up a bit higher than that.

I just checked my lab report - and my Ferritin was 45

Here's what it said below it:


Results are 15% higher. Reference
ranges have been updated.
Adults: <15: diagnostic of Iron Deficiency
15-50: Probable Iron Deficiency
51-100: Possible Iron Deficiency
>100: Iron Deficiency unlikely
persistently >1000: Test for Iron overload



So I'm in the range of "Probable Iron Deficiency"

You're welcome...but make sure you do a re-test of the Ferritin after you've supplemented for awhile.

Too much iron is not a good thing.

I am only taking two tsps daily of the Floradix...and I think it's been a month...so I will ask for a re-test in another month.
