An antibiotic may get rid of fungus but I do not think that is a sign that your lyme is healing.
When the lyme symptoms slowly disappear one by one - that is the sign you want to feel.

I had nail bed and fingernail issues with Lyme as well, and yes, it's a sign that healing is starting!!

Interesting this came up...as I was sitting in my epsom salt bath yesterday - examining my nails. I developed vertical ridges on them awhile after my symptoms started.
...and I thought - when those disappear....it will be one more sign that I am healing.
I never had them before lyme...so for me it will definitely be one more sign I'm healing.

Im sure that it a sign of healing within the body. For me my moons on my nails are coming back. For the past year or so, I only had the ones on my thumbs.

Krimpet - thanks for reminding me...I lost all moons except the one on my right thumb.
I now have the moon back on my left thumb and one starting to come back on my right index finger...lol...the little things that make us happy!

I have those half moons back on both of my thumbs, both of my index fingers and very, very small ones on each of my middle fingers - the rings fingers and pinkies are both without still, but the ridges are down considerably! I like to celebrate in some small way each time I see even small improvements. It doesn't mean I've won the war on these bacteria and things, but it's one small battle front that I've made progress with!!

Traveler - I chuckled when you said "very, very small ones on each of my middle fingers" - because I actually put on my reading glasses to see that one was starting on my right index finger.
Looking hard for any signs of healing...my new hobby.

Lol. That is funny. I am straining to see if I have any coming back in on any other fingers. Is it a sad commentary that we have to look for these little signs of healing?

I prefer to think of it as being able to recognize when we have made progress! We work hard for little signs of progress, so when we do see some, it's time to celebrate them with others that understand it's taken a lot to be able to reach the stage of seeing improvements!

My dermatologist said that my vertical ridges were signs of aging and not to be concerned. He said that if the ridges went the other way (horizontal) we need to be very concerned.
I got black tiny lines in my fingernails with lyme that were vertical. My manicurist noticed them before I did, they were that thin and small. I looked them up and sure enough - symptom of lyme. I upped my collagen and did some added gelatin and they went away way before I got over lyme.
But fungus I believe can last past lyme. And I do not believe that 200 mg of antibiotics a day are enough for lyme.
I might be wrong since I am not a well versed person on antibiotics. I just don't want you to get your hopes up and be disappointed.
Does your llmd have you on this only? And, you have only been on it for 10 days?

I just looked at the first link - and the thing is - there are many lyme and co's symptoms on that list.
- not just the vertical nail ridges...

Mast cells misbehaving happen with a lot of illnesses though at differing levels.
You can find fingernail ridges in a lot of Lyme symptom lists, and it's talked about
on nearly every Lyme forum around. Here's one symptom list that is good that includes it as well:
