Hi! I'm new to this site and was hoping for some feedback. I am a caregiver for a gentleman diagnosed with MS at 29. He's now 32 and we have good reason to believe he may have been misdiagnosed and actually suffers from chronic Lyme. With no cooperation from his neurologist, we sought out IgeneX to be tested, but again, no cooperation from his PCP, so his results came back inconclusive due to blood samples sitting too long. We're now working with an ND, just took another test last week and we're waiting on results.

I'd like to find and LLMD in our area, have a couple of leads, but would like feedback or reviews so I know which direction to go.

Dr. M in Sac ( on Alta Arden) will get you an Igenex test. He is pretty darn conservative when it comes to the results of that test. But just suspecting that I had lyme he put me on Ceftin and Biaxin. I had a bull's eye.

However, when my tests with Igenex came back and were not CDC positive, he was hesitant to do much. I broke away and went on herbs by myself.

But as for lyme testing or any other blood testing he is awesome and he does believe in alternative methods.

What tests are you waiting for - is it the Lyme Western Blot?

When you get them back, you can post the results on here and we can help you decipher them.

I did read the "new to Lyme" page 😊

We are awaiting results on our second western blot test, because the first we took came back inconclusive (I don't recall the exact result, but ND felt it was borderline positive). We currently work with an ND in Auburn and a kinesiologist in Sac, taking a more homeopathic approach to this point.

Both of them lean more toward Lyme than MS, but his PCP and neurologist won't consider Lyme which is why we began pursuing on our own.

I received a referral from the ND for a Dr. M in sac, but if this next test comes back inconclusive or negative I want to pursue further testing. So I'm wondering in Dr. M would be a good fit or just another stepping stone...
