I don't mean to post about every symptom, just the ones that are most alarming lol

I just noticed that the veins on the outside of my hands are very pronounced and blue...from my wrist up to my fingertips. No pain or anything, but the color caught me off-guard.

Any thoughts?

Bart, and sometimes Lyme can cause this. Lyme causes a thickening of the blood by creating increased fibrin in our blood. Bart causes inflammation in the veins.

Treatments usually reverse this. My veins used to always be dark blue and would be very prominent, but they are mostly back to normal now.

My hands are very veiny too with large blue veins. I think that losing collagen hasn't helped either. There is just no fat on my hands to cover the veins. I am hoping that with treatment it will get better.

Posting about your symptoms is fine! It just doesn't seem as alarming when we know that others share the same symptoms we do.

Me too! I think it's both - as well - lack of collagen and issues with the blood vessels from the infections.

Thanks Denikeef and Girlie! It's hard sometimes to differentiate between "normal" aging stuff and infection stuff. Noticing a lot more spider veins on my legs as well :(

I'm also noticing problems with seeing in the dark. Not even complete darkness but in low lighting, and adjusting between light and dark rooms and any type of shadows give me a real problem. Some of it, I'm sure is age related, but I'm only 43 so I don't think it should be THIS bad.

Lyme and Bart both affect the eyes like that.

It's always something. I think we are just prone to be very much on the "look-out" for changes in our bodies now.

The veins on my hands were very prominent, that was before I knew what was wrong with me, they are 'normal' again now.

My eyes were really bad and the doctor and optician thought I had macular degeneration. I could not adjust to light and dark and sometimes could barely see even with my reading and distance glasses on. My sight is much improved now since taking bilberry extract and stevia.

Suzee try taking Lutein. That is great for eyes. I have a drusen in my eye that we are monitoring (mac degen). My retinologist said to take Lutein.

Exactly what I've had with this, to way back when I first got infected in '85 and I was only 34 at the time! They used to bulge when I was in the most pain throughout my body and/or when I was really down sick. Now they're like that all the time. I have the hands of a 75 year old already.

On my right arm especially, aside from the bulging blue/green veins in my hand, there is a prominent pair running from my wrist to the crook in my arm. Roadmaps.
