My "gut" is encouraging me to integrate this in a bit. Did you have a favorite parasite cleanse? I used Paragone a few years ago, too hard on my digestion. I know wormwood and black walnut hull are supposed to be good. Curious what worked with your body and what the results were. The GAPS diet is going well. First few days felt really wonky, but an uptick in mental and physical energy yesterday and today. Flowing into Phase 3 of the Intro diet to get more calories because my weight dropped to 92.5 (which could just be water weight) which puts me as underweight with a BMI of 18.5. Good job M. (patting myself on the back) taking such good care of yourself this year. A year of: brain aneurysm, figuring out it is lyme and co-infections, diagnosed with GERD, torn retina is the latest. So weird, always thought of myself as strong as an ox. No more! Aiming for supple like a gazelle, slow like a tortoise, and restful as the family cat. A bit chatty today - sorry..

My LLMD gave me mebendazole, I think it helped a little.

Yeah I had the same problem with Paragone. I use the Dr Hulda Clark remedy and I am happy with it. A lyme friend I have in Europe swears by Humaworm.

I worked with Dr Y in St. Louis and he used a combination of meds and herbs-he tend to dose the meds way higher than normal for 2-4 weeks based off his experience of treating over 10,000 people for parasites.
Every month or so we would change the meds

I would be investigating a protozoal disease if I had a torn retina. That is just my opinion.

I used Humaworm. Didn't notice much either way - but felt ok on it.

Questing- you have been through the ringer. It amazes me how Lyme ravages our bodies in so many different ways- some lose weight and others like me gain it without changing our eating habits ( my BMI is 41!). Anyway, I have been taking Hulda Clarke's parasite stuff for yrs.- keeps me afloat, I think. Also, Georgia Hunter might be onto something - I have VERY thin retinas and now thin optic nerve and just recently been told that I also have Protomyxzoa parasite. This parasite attacks the vascular system and helps create inflammation in the brain etc. What did you do about your retina condition?

Oh goodness! Thank you for all of this great information! Georgia and needhelp4 thank you for this consideration of a protozoal disease! The retinal tear was repaired with laser surgery, then this weekend I lost sight in the eye from a vitreous hemorrhage - long weekend. ER last night, ophthalmologist today who sent me back to the ER for a scan because of other symptoms. Will see a retina specialist this week. Directed to chill out. Mustard Seed - love this suggestion!

OMG Questing (MFM) I am so sorry to hear about this! That is awful what you are going through! Did the hemmorhage happen after the laser?? OMG! Did you get that "veil" come over your eye before the sight gave out? How are you able to "chill out?" I feel for you Questing! Did the docs mention your optical nerve? Geez, I really hope you are doing better tonight- please keep us posted! Hang in there!

Sounds like toxo.. rife ,crypto ,alinia and bvt has helped with visual snow ...
and artminisin ,wormwood ivermectin has helped with bigger ones ..gunna try blessed herbs in a bit when i get stable

I took a few rounds of ParaStroy a few years back during an ABX break. If I recall its a two part process over several weeks.
