The only way to get rid of Lyme with short term treatment is to treat it the day you are infected - which is not possible unless you take something daily or if you develop the bulls eye rash.
This is why I like using Astragalus - it is supposed to really reduce the risk of getting infected with Lyme. But, according to Buhner, because it raises the parts of the immune function that will attack the Lyme bacteria immediately, those that have had chronic Lyme should not use it until they have been symptom free for at least 6 months. Otherwise it could create a massive herx reaction that could be life threatening.

Actually even with short term treatment the infection can spread.....my dentist....I know I mentioned him so many times claims that the doxy given to him within the immediate time did not work.
Also there is my case.....I also got treated immediately ...within 15 hrs (includes the tick being on me for about
3 hours). So either that did not work or the pervious tick that was on me less than 5 min gave me lyme.
Of course I have killed plenty of ticks with my fingernails and lyme could have been given to me by those as well.
This is a part where we ALL need to agree about
lyme disease spreading. I see a huge discrepancy in opinions. If a tick contains spirochete these can be given without any contact with our blood but simply just smashing the tick.
According to Buhner spirochetes survives in areas where it is moist and easy shed....vaginal fluid, eyes, mucus of nose.....ya know sounds to me like a GOOD reason why people get lyme but do not recall being bitten.

Agreed, Artermix. Just because the infection is caught early, doesn't mean that it won't spread anyway. This is because the infection can become disseminated (wide spread/chronic) in less than 24 hours for some.
The other thing we have to keep in mind is that the Lyme bacteria has been proven to be carried in other insects, mosquitoes, mites, and other biting insects. A person does not have to have had a tick bite them in order to get Lyme, and it can be passed by human to human (or animal to human) as well.

Burrascano is supposedly doing research and consulting with different scientific companies now.
Eva Sapi has done some studies on the past on samento and banderol and is currently doing work
Northeastern had a chronic lyme team that just won a ten million grant this year to study chronic lyme. They are testing antibiotic protocols and other medicines to see which is most effective.

My LLND is following to protocol recommended by the Northeastern research team. It is for persistor BB bacteria. It's IV Rocephin on a very specific schedule of Mon, Fri, Wed, repeated for 12 plus weeks. The theory being that roughly 40% of the bacteria will resist and go into hiding from the initial treatment. By the second treatment that 40% will have come back out to the surface again and 40% of those will resist and so on.
