Sage Herbs emailed me back and says "Hi Mike – I wouldn’t worry about
damage to the tinctures from the heat. The internal temp of the tinctures did not reach 110 degrees, that was the ambient air anyway. But we actually make glycerites from tinctures by simmering them down to 1/5 of their volume, much more heat than is applied in a mailbox. You’re still good. No worries. ;)"
So while I can't imagine they are NOT damaged I take her at her word since I certainly have no way to know. It sounds to my dumb old ears that they manufacture these tinctures by using heat by "simmering" on some kind of stovetop or similar? No idea but just happy to hear I am not out $165.00 and change and now will begin to look for someplace to buy a pill (capsules) making machine and figure out what SIZE capsules I need etc. God help me I am afraid my living room and recliner (where I live) will be covered in cat's claw and my wife will walk in from work and think it was snowing inside when she was gone....
