yeast overgrowth from antibiotics??

my dr. says i may have a yeast overgrowth from the antibiotics, because iam feeling hungry say to start diflucan how much does it cost and is there an alternative i take some probiotics cant believe it.

There is a really good post in the 'New to Lyme?..." thread. Our Mod, Pirouette wrote it and posted it...very thorough.
You could try Nystatin if it hasn't gone systemic...but if it has, i think Diflucan should be used.

I'm sorry, but your only symptom is "hunger" and your doctor is saying yeast. I don't know. I would at least want to test.

I could see doing some Nystatin for awhile because when we're on antibiotics, we often will have Candida issues.
But, Diflucan can be hard on the liver...so if you don't need it, you don't want to take it.

yes he said maybe i could have a yeast overgrowth so i ordered the probiotics he suggested. i tell him nystatin bcuz its more gentler. it seems right after i take them with food i get hunger pains and burp alot weird. its uncomfortable and annoying.
