As a newborn, I was a very very alert
baby, so my mother told me. I cried a lot at night and had difficulties sleeping. I could never fall asleep passed 1 am. I am still that way
At one point my mother tried everything that could possibly sooth me....It is common practice to give chamomile tea to infants in Europe, as it aides with sleep.
Chamomille on me worked exactly the opposite.....it stimulated me like caffeine. LOL
But this is actually a pattern of many different things I have tried in my life that have little, no effect or a lot of effect on me. Coffee being one of them. I became a caffeine addict and at one point I was drinking 6 cups of coffee a day. My body became used to it. Even now after reducing the dosage to one cup a day I can still go to sleep 30 min after a cup of coffee.
Than there were all those other weird things.....over the counter analgesic never really worked on migraines (possibly I build an intolerance over the decades)....
Having to quit drinking wine because 4oz was knocking me out and giving me hangovers.
Vitamin B complex giving me the jitters like 10 cups of coffee, even when on Vitamin enriched Special K cornflakes.
The list is long and interesting from my perspective point of view. I expect to react (or not) like the majority of people and then BAM! I become that 1%.
I noticed that many of us in this forum have the same problem. This is why we cannot get rid of lyme disease, candida or whatever. The truth it is that ALL our treatments do not work as well on us specifically simply because we are all different.
Science failed us miserably here. I am understanding now, and slowly that results might vary with individuals.
A while ago I read a blog about
a man who contracted lyme disease. He had a chemistry background and decided to treat himself with abx, based on individual symptoms not traditional well known lyme protocol. He cycled abx as little as 1 week at times, and switched often based on how the antibiotic would treat the pain. I cannot recall if he used something else in conjunction.
This is fascinating to me and it is basically what I would like to do with herbals. I am not keen to experiment on something that could increase my chances to have spirochetes reproducing more.
I know everyone here suggest that we go slow with the protocol. Buhner says to build up to ideal dose and does not specify exact . I understand that people here have benefited from working their way up in progression. I wonder though, perhaps for some of us a different approach might be more beneficial.
I am very tempted to upgrade my dose of Andrograpjis to a full tablespoon.
