Mike - I think having two beers... Or even one beer a night is not a good idea when you have Lyme disease.


We really need to eat/drink healthy when our bodies are struggling to fight off these nasty infections.

Hey dumb idea I'm sure but how about Tequila & Lyme? ANYTHING & Lyme other than these Probiotics Trish just went to buy yet more milk for?

Enjoy life before death ..you got no nystatin or diflucan or monolaurin or olive leaf extract or pau de arco or sf722 or any other means of candida control .so i say live it up ..enjoy a few days of feeling good and reminisce of when you were healthy...and let the candida grow and over grow, its all for not mike ..what's a few beers...you may be treating the rest of your life any how ...you would need so many herb$ and a very skilled herbalist to get your organs in shape ,kill the bugs and get you walking .. (without the resources and hootspa ) toss in the towel and have a few stouts (only half sarcasm ) have 1 for me

Ok, all joking aside. "( A guy here) I'm not sure if your just having fun , or if you truly do not yet understand what others are not completely explaining to you.

So, I like beer too. But obviously alcohol is not good for people, yet when enjoyed in moderation it doesnt seem so bad.

Yeast 101: only a ladies problem? What? No. News flash:You have yeast in YOU right now. Just like bacteria's, we are loaded with a combination of this stuff mainly in our digestive tracts, from your pie hole to the "other" hole.

Yeast is in your beer, in your gut, and possibly other places in and on your body (both sexes). Its a living thing, has some similarities to mold. Many strains, one family of strains is called Candida. Candida can be responsible for many of the SAME symptoms as lyme and low thyroid. Brain fog, aches and pains, digestive issues, (projectile this and that), acid reflux, iching, skin issues (down there and anywhere), dandruff, bad breath, cold hands, heart palpitations, oral thrush, others and "leaky gut". Leaky gut makes your body turn inside out into a dead puddle of goo on the floor. Just seeing if your still reading.

So whats the deal with it? Its in us NOW, just within "normal" (just what is normal anyway?) amounts.
Normal meaning you dont feel anything abnormal from it. Know any beer bellied old guys that burp and fart all day? Well, it may be funny with the guys in the garage, but its not completely normally healthy. "Yeast gut" is what health fanatics call it, for a reason.

Lyme can make this worse if your taking stuff to kill bacteria, because when bacteria die, yeast want the real estate in a bad way. There like builders waiting for old farmers to die, so they can build a community but within your gut..

When this happens all he// breaks loose with the symptoms mentioned above. And the white mouth thrush looks like you have rabies to anyone looking in, so your dentist might shoot you, before he gets bitten by a rabid madman.

If you take flagle ABX (the deep seeking missile abx), alcohol (not yeast) will give you the hangover of your life.

Pass the pitcher man! No...........better not. Candida can slowly creep up on you , and bingo, its your turn.

I had no alcohol for one year and still had to take "candida killer". It can actually kill you, although rare. That is one of the top reasons conventional Dr are against strong ABX for longer periods- the health issues with digestive Yeast as it can migrate to other organs and kill you..

Just to make you feel better, I'm not treating right now and just finished a Shiner Bock. Actually pretty lame for bock beer. Real bock, as you remember, no longer exists with modern brewing technology.

OK-so thank you Julymorning and astroman. Because while I joke ALL the time to attempt not losing my mind from the anger of all surgeons have done to destroy my life, I am asking for and searching for answers. Losing all ability to walk in just the past few months and all the rest I experienced I rush to find quick answers & quick solutions to this problem that requires much patience and much time. I will never change in my "rush" and lack of discipline but I honestly do try. Everywhere I turn I find yet another road block another 5 or 10 NEW drugs or supplements I need after I have just gone pst my credit card limit I SWORE I would never exceed.

So my girlfriend as in FRIEND who is a girl (NOTHING more), TV reporter here in San Diego telling me she is sure I will NEVER get any better unless I get one of her doctors to treat me with both potent antibiotics and herbs combined, well she crushed my hopes. Hopes of beating this without doctors. Which REALLY pisses me off as I have great insurance and feel they should be forced to help me as much as is required! But we all know that sad story. So I am at this crazy and I do mean crazy crossroads of asking myself if I should just stop all this.This endless round & round I go with every new hour bringing me another new round of drugs, treatment plans to wade through, etc. Or should I just do as I told my wife, pitch all this and buy another motorcycle and go play for a month or 2 before my entire body just fails completely? I fully expect it will, quit or not the way it is going?

But this place, this forum. IT has given me the best hope I have had. I am ONLY doing herbs, period as I have no money for the rest. I hope as folks get to know me better they may be able to find my true motivations as I wander through here. And in the midst of all my joking, be able to clearly make out my intent in what I am searching for as I ask questions as I really do NOT know anything about this,including is it OK to have my 2 beers a night while doing herbs for my diagnosed Lyme. NOBODY told me not to, nobody ever said a thing but I read about it and I asked. Glad I did and for apparent good reason? Weird too as the symptoms for Candida sound about the same as the ones for Bartonella? NOW, I am grateful I did NOT order that 16 ounces of CSA today from Sage Herbs for Bart. Of course maybe I still should too? God only knows at this point. I am more lost & confused than EVER.

Thanks astro for explaining this....it is very serious crap with a steep learning curve ..i am ****ing doing iv antibiotics off my kitchen table in hopes of being able to keep walking ...i sting with 30-40 bees a week...they are your best bet without a doctor and without iv abx and herbs ...
i was very serious in saying refinance to pay for your treatment ..your tv reporter friend is right ...

so yes have one last beer ponder mortality and consider all modalities in your price range ..

Why not just order one to start and add it to your Lyme herbs...then in a month..or whenever you do another order, you can add another Bart herb.

And I AM completely confused. What if it is only this thing called Candida? ALL that money around $150.00 for the 16 ounces I was going to order yesterday to help fight Bart would be completely wasted if true correct? I don't know WHAT to get to fight Candida IF I have that instead, or both? Where do I stop, where do I begin. Very disillusioned at this point. VERY. I have the Houttuynia and been taking it a week. I began right off with FULL dose on it, said screw it and no side effects at all. Also have the sida acuta but quit after just 2 days to wait till Nov 9 when all my other meds arrive from Amazon on my Subscribe & Save program (a couple hundred MORE spent there).

I WANT to place the 16 ounce order NOW from Sage for the CSA. It is an extreme VALUE at the price in my opinion. But Trish is loving me into her own financial peril. I love her SO much I just feel like I am stealing from her purse while she sleeps sometimes for all this. I feel like a pic pocket stealing to save myslef and don't like the feeling.....

PS- I DID catch her in time last night and STOPPED her from buying me a couple cases of beer on sale. Now THAT was hard too. :-(( But I did it once I found out it was so bad for me.

People have a tendency to say "the only way to heal is the way I did", which we know isn't the real truth of the matter. I think they really believe these things but are misguided in their efforts.

Yes and you, YOU have been the inspiration that gave Trish and myslef our only real hope. Still do. But now I am unsure what exact direction I should take? If I buy a lot of the CSA then is it 100% wasted if my issues with brain fog and annger etc are something to do with yeast wasted? I feel like today I now need to try learning about yeast for males and maybe tackle that? I don't know Trav, I feel like what NEXT....what else is going to pop up out of nowhere and blindside me and make me ask if I just threw away another entire Social Security check. NOT givinh up, but unsure which way to go now.
